Colorado Springs Youth Sports, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that owns and operates El Pomar Youth Sports Park.
The organization’s mission is to provide first-rate sports facilities and opportunities for youth participation in sports and recreation in the region.
Open for play on June 20, 2000, the park is made up of 18 playing fields covering 58 acres. Park amenities include:
Nine baseball/softball fields
Eight natural grass soccer/lacrosse fields
Kent Olin Field, a championship size artificial turf field with Musco field lighting
In-Line Hockey Rink
Major Trailhead to Pikes Peak Greenway Trail
Concession Area
The park was built through a unique public/private/non-profit partnership and is maintained by the City of Colorado Springs.
Public response to the Park has been spectacular. In 2022, the Park hosted more than 136,000 player visits.
In addition to youth sports practices and games, the park serves as the venue site for several tournaments and youth sports camps. Partnering with Harrison High School, the park also hosted the Colorado State High School Cross-Country Championships 2005-2008.
The Youth Sports Park has been the location for several public and charitable events including the Race Against Suicide 5k, Pikes Peak Children's Museum Easter Event, Friday Night Fútbol, Colorado State Games, Colorado Springs Sport Corp’s Youth Sports Days, and fall race events for Kokapelli Cross-Country Running Team.

The West El Paso Summer and Fall Baseball Leagues play all of their games at El Pomar Youth Sports Park. The park is also a major provider of playing fields for Cheyenne Mountain Lacrosse Club, Pride Soccer, Rush Pikes Peak Soccer, B-Elite Soccer, BVB Soccer, Colorado Springs Ultimate Network, Altitude Softball, and several other sports teams.
When youth are not practicing or competing at the park, several adult sports groups also utilize the facility.
Colorado Springs Youth Sports, Inc. and El Pomar Youth Sports Park is proud to have served for Pikes Peak Region for 22 years and counting.
The Youth Sports Park is intended for youth activities. Adult use with special permission only.
Metal cleats are NOT permitted on portable pitching mounds. Only rubber cleats or turf shoes are allowed on portable mounds. This rule will be strictly enforced.
Friendly, well behaved, leashed dogs are permitted at the Park. Please clean up after your pet.
